Written after my first serious car accident (was in my parents' car)
Numb

What is real?

I don't know

This could be a dream

Couldn't it?

Sometimes dreams are this vivid

The harsh crunch of metal

The throbbing pain in my head

The worse pain of guilt and confusion

What happens now?

I wake up and end this mess

I know its a dream

Because nothing this horrible has ever happened to me

This dream is really long

Wait, I can't wake myself up

Maybe its real

It can't be real

Because that would mean I messed everything up

But I can't wake up

This nightmare scares me

Everything's spinning out of control

And its all my fault

I can't even help

At all

I'm numb
