Beside The Tide

Beside the tide
I stand alone and whither

By the struggle within
Teeth shivering colds
Mind numbing burns
Colliding gleams of surrendered dreams

Stir the truth and shimmer
Observe as a fleeting thought simmers
Before water boils, watch the steam rise

Wisdom welded by the freezing flames of a passing sun
Illuminated darkness shedding light once the day is done

Dawn is dusks one true love
Their pain is great, for they will always be apart
When they separate I can see their hearts beating between the stars

As I glimpse my own reflection
By the struggle within
Outside the current I shall remain
Society will not consume my soul

By the struggle within
Not today
Because today,
Beside the tide
I stand alone and whither

Wandering to wonder
So close is the stream
So far away is the dream
Passion stirs my purpose and steams
My difference defines me
So, let me be lonely, let me be different
Or don’t I’m me, and I’m here
Here, wherever here may be, to stay
Until one fine day the passion of my product is ready for display
