This is the best time of year to walk this ground
The winter sun shines brightly on the walls where they are broken and crumbled and slumber like stone giants.
Sometimes you will spy a hooded knight visiting this sacred kingdom,
He too is wordless at the loss, and still amazed he is home.
A soul who fell from one time to another.
All the roads I ever knew lead here.
We were always so safe
Our children ate well and played happily.
Winter never found us cold, both our hearths and hearts were filled with fire.
And we laughed
And we sang
And spoke of anything imaginable
Listen close because the earth has absorbed all the voices
And if we want we can hear what it is like in the time before
Call my name and I will call yours,
I wonder if we can go back there again.
