What would've happened if Germany won WWII? Find out.... HERE!!!!
“We won! We won! We won!” I cracked my left eye open, and sure enough my little brother was crawling onto my bed and started to jump around like a crazy monkey. I tried to take in what I had just heard.
“Wait, we actually won?” I rubbed my eyes.
“Yes! We don’t have school today either! It’s a new holiday, it’s called Hitler Day!” Vincent smiled.
“Sweet!” I replied and jumped out of bed. I shooed my brother out of the room so that I could get dressed and ran down the stairs when I was done.
“Guten Morgen. Wie schon das weir gewonnen haben ne?” Mutti said. (“Good Morning. How nice that we won, huh?”
“Yes, I am so happy.” I replied. Vincent knocked over his milk.
“Vincent!” Mutti cried. “You always spill your milk every morning!” She scolded.
That day we all went everywhere in town and celebrated the fact that Germany had won WWII. All my friends and I actually got to drink beer in celebration. We were so happy, but the party was crashed when the SS came and took three of my friends away because they did not have blonde hair and blue eyes. The rest of us kind of moped around the rest of the day. We all had to go to school the next day. Within a few weeks my family and I got a notice that we would be given a three week vacation to Spain the next day, so we packed up our things and waited for the next day.
In Spain things were a bit different. When we got there my family got to go on the destination but I was detained.
“ # 402 Birgit Meyer, up next.” An SS soldier said as I walked through the door to some unknown future. A woman greeted me at the other side.
“Hello dear, I am going to be your new mother. You will be living with me until you are trained enough to serve the Fuhrer (Hitler).” She said with a fake smile.
“What do you mean by that, may I ask?” I questioned her.
“Like I said, you will be living with me until you are trained to serve the Fuhrer.” She started walking towards a vehicle. I reluctantly followed wondering what would happen to me, when I heard a familiar voice call out.
“Birgit!” I quickly turned around and saw my friend Ingrid running towards me. We hugged each other until the woman came back and pulled us apart.
“Let’s go!” She yelled in my ear, grabbed my arm and yanked me away from Ingrid. I was pushed into a dark van with no windows where I was, and fell over a few other girls. Some German curses filled the air.
“Entschuldigung bitte.” I offered my apologies. The girls readjusted and I tried to make myself comfortable with the little amount of space the girls gave me . soon the van stopped and the doors were opened. The girls spilled out of the van. It wasn’t until then that I got to see all the girls. We had some things in common, we all had blonde hair and blue eyes. I wondered if it was a coincidence or purposely planned that way. The woman led us into a house, that looked more like a dormitory, and up a set of stairs.
“This will be your floor. There will be three girls assigned to a room. Wait here for the rest of the girls to get here.” She walked back down the stairs, and SS soldiers were sent up to keep an eye on us.
Weeks past and I found out that I was in a advanced school to teach us how to behave in the Fuhrer’s presence without getting him mad. We all looked alike with blonde hair and blue eyes and were all around the ages of 15-25. Soon three months became three years and I still hadn’t seen my family since that day in Spain. I was now located in a school in Northern Poland and my day to meet the Fuhrer was set. I was to meet him in three weeks. Those three weeks I was allowed to have my family come visit me and I was taken to many different spas and relaxation centers. My mother warned me to not please the Fuhrer too much otherwise I might have to live with him. So the day finally came and I met him. He was pleased with me and now I am one of the many Mrs. Hitlers. Unfortunately, now I am never allowed to see my family again and I have to stay in the same building everyday and am only allowed a 30 minute period in which I can go outside into the courtyard everyday. I thought that my life would be so much better when we won but now it has turned out horrible.
