The final part of this story,
Part 9

(Laurence Barns meet Brandon Barns)

Reginald your being followed. It was the first time Laurence had spoken up in some time.
“I know, I noticed him as I turned up the road towards the station.” Reggie whispered.
It's him, I know it's him! Laurence sounded almost panicked, he was truly afraid of this man – after what Reggie had seen he couldn't blame; Sludge had killed his wife his parents, destroyed his city ruined his reputation. Strangly enough for the coward Reggie had been he felt calm, there were plenty of people on the platform of this train station. He knew exactly where he was headed as he crossed the bridge over the rail and calmly left the station walking up the small hill that lead towards the park. He had not been silly he had walked through the station on purpose, when this was over he wanted some CCTV evidence that he was acting in self defence and he knew there were plenty of cameras in the station.
As he crossed the road he risked a quick glance behind, sure enough the tramp followed, he let two cars pass before crossing over and entering the park.
Royal Greenwich Park was large, there was plenty of space to confront this man, it was also patrolled by the park police regularly meaning he might just survive this attack that he almost felt was coming.
He had been resloved to let this Laurence Barns killer go, and let Laurence fade from his mind or at least try to ignore him more, but the attack on his mother had changed everything, this man – this crazy, psychotic killer knew who he was; had broken in his own home and attacked his mother. How could he let that stand? He couldn't some of Laurence's do-gooder attitude had rubbed off on him, the things he had seen in Neopolis had changed him.
He was hoping that Sludge or the tramp or whatever that foul thing following him was would wait to attack him, Reg was very well aware that the first place he had to pass was the childrens play area and he didn't want anyone hurt, or even to witness what might happen.
Biting his lip he headed for Maze hill the large hill would lead him up to an area that hopefully would be relatively quiet, and if he was going to die, which was a very real possibility - his stomach felt like lead when he realised that - he might as well have a good view and it was a stunning one from the top of the hill.
“Laurence!” The rattling voice echoed from behind.
Reggie almost froze at the harsh voice that came from behind him, he squared his shoulders and determined carried on up the hill.
“Laurence Barns!” Came the shriek and still Reggie ignored it.
As he came to the top of the hill he turned right and headed over the grass, the day was clear and sunny but the air was chilly, he took a deep breath as he looked over towards first the city in the distance he could make out the London Eye and the British Telecom tower, in front of him across the river the docklands, canary wharf and below him the only home he had ever known, if this was too be his last veiw of it it was a good one.
A young couple were sitting nearby he walked over to them, “Sorry to bother you.” He said politely, they looked up but didn't say anything, they were sat on a mat having a picknic, “I'm being followed by a homeless man, he's going to attack me could you please phone the police.”
They stood and saw the oncoming man, “Do you need any help?” The man asked.
“No, this is my fight I've got all the help I need. But it is going to be dangerous, please just call the police, thank you.”
The couple looked at each other their was something about this that did feel very wrong, “Come on.” The girl said, “He's right lets go get some help.”
Reginald had stopped now to face his opponent.
“Laurence?” said the homeless man, “Laurence Barns?”
Reggie checked his watch, quarter past one, “No actually my name is Reginald Watts, and sir I do believe you've been following me.”
A gust of wind whipped at them, for the first time Reggie smelt the decay of the homeless man, he wanted to gag.
“Don't lie to me Barns!” Spittle flew from the tramps mouth, black and thick it spattered Reggies Jacket.
“I'm not.” Reggie said with what he hoped sound like defiant courage, “I don't deny that me and Laurence are acquainted, he can hear you, but I am not him.”
“Oh, oh ho ho.” the man who was Sludge chuckled, “I get it, ha thats great I got a tramp and he got a fat-soft city boy.”
Reggie remained silent.
“Well I'm sorry whatever-your-name-was but you have been put in a very unfortunate situation one in which your going to have die I'm afraid.”
“Laurence wants to know why?”
“Why? Why! I'll tell you why Barns because of you your powers, I lost my father, my wife, child hell I lost the whole world because of you!”
“Laurence?” Reggie asked not sure what was going on now.
Reggie I have no idea, the man is insane – he's never given me a reason for anything he's ever done let me talk to him?
“All right, Sludge Laurence is coming forward he wants to talk to you.” Reggie said uncomfortable with the idea what if he never came back, what if this was his last moment in life, he struggled to breath as he felt Laurence moving forward in side his head.
The man that had once been known as Brandon watched the physical change in Reggie as he body was usurped, the features became more defined the eyes a deeper blue, “I'm here Sludge, you won I remember I died what did you do?”
Sludge tilted his head grinning, “Heh, well I would say your on candid camera but that's not quite true but you know I did trick you. Ya see hypie or is it Wattsie now.” He paused, “Wattise I like that it sounds like whoopsie which is exactly what you've done you idiot.”
Laurence clenched his jaw, “Get on with the monologue please.”
Sludges eyes widened, “Monologue, that's what the baddie does just before he's beaten. Actually its quite appropriate that I fill you in before you die after all what will all our readers do if I don't spell it out for their slow acting brains. I was Brandon Barns think your my great-great-great-great Grandfather I might have missed a couple or said one to many its hard to remember.” He began to recount his story, how his father had wanted the Hyper-powers how they found the H-sphere all of it up until he killed the world.
“But you keep saying our readers, our creator, that we're not real this all seems pretty real to me, as real as Neopolis did.” Laurence said but some of what Sludge said now made sense, when he had died and woke up on the building he had thought he could fly, he had looked for Neopolis and realised it didn't exist.
“Look Laurence.” Sludge said, “I've had fun messing with you but I'm getting tired of all the bull crap of playing the archetypal nemesis. When you die there's no defence between me and the creator of my miserable life and I can get him so that none of it ever happens, you get to stay happy in Neopolis I get to stay happy tinkering around in the Hyper-museum we're all good. I won't be insane from years spent alone surrounded by death with my only reason to live is to see you destroyed.”
This was the most reasonable that he had ever seen his enemy was he correct, would his death mean a creator could be found who could change it. It was almost tempting.
Remember Laurence this is my life Reggie scolded from somewhere deep in side. He's talking rubbish there is no creator, this is my life damn it! Hyper-man would never let an innocent man die for his own ends.
“Reggie.” Laurence said, “If he's right I'll have never come to be in your head you'd still be alive.”
I don't...I don't bloody believe this, how long has he been your enemy: how many times has he tricked you?
“Don't listen to him Barns, I knew that killing you there meant it would open up the way for me to break through to here, you've always been his protector even though you didn't know it now I'm this close,” He held his mangled thumb and index finger an scant distance apart, “I can fix everything.”
He's lying!
“He's family, Reggie somewhere inside that twisted shell is a good man!”
Brandon couldn't help but grin at that, he hoped it would look sincere he supposed it was but it had been a long time since he had been a good man.
You don't get it Laurence! Reggie began fighting his way forwards, you don't get it...you do “n't get it.” He blinked suddenly back in his own body, he swooned slightly, “If what he's saying is true he doesn't understand what this truly is, you think your clever Sludge you think you've worked it out but I really have.”
“Oh yeah, humour me Watts.” Sludge rolled his eyes.
You said you found Laurences Origin story and what was the date in Neopolis where Laurence comes from 1995, the year of his origin but here its 2009 the boy has grown up, the boy is a man, he sees things from all veiws now its not a black and white super-hero story, this Brandon Barns is YOUR origin story, even if you found this mythical creator after killing me it wouldn't changed – your doomed to this fate every single time.”
It was like Reggie had hit the tramp with a physical blow, Sludge took a step back, “My origin? My own story.” He grinned, “It's a chance I'm not willing to take Reggie sorry.”
“FINE!” The two men sprinted towards each other.

It had taken the young couple nearly ten minutes to half jog half sprint towards the park police station which was nearly at the other end of the park, they came in flustered, “Please we need help.” the man said, “There's a guy on the hill being attacked by some homeless fella', you need to help him this guy doesn't look like much of a fighter.”

By time Reggie heard the siren of the oncoming police car he could have wept with joy, although the tramp was not much to look at, he was strong and he was fast, Reggie was all ready suffering with a split lip, broken nose and his right eye had begun to get swollen. He managed to jump back from another right hook but wasn't quick enough to see the left hand coming that drove deep into his stomach, the air exploded from his lungs as he doubled over.
“Don't think they're going to save you.” Sludge Hissed as he kicked him in the head. Reggie rolled onto his back, the blue sky over head swimming strangely as he felt warm water running from his head. He had time to realise it was blood as the tramp hauled him to his feet, “Not much in you is there.” He said headbutting him.
“All right that's enough.” The police officer called getting out of his patrol car, “Stand away from each other.” He moved forward with his partner ready to intercept the tramp.
Sludge grinned, “Guess what Laurence.”
The two officers stumbled back, a wall of air had hit them, they touched at it tentatively, unsure what it was, “It's some kind of wall.”
“Don't be ridiculous.” Said his partner hitting and conceding the point, “What the hell is it.”
The other man shrugged I've never seen anything like it, I think we're going to need backup.”
“You've got your powers back?” Said Reggie, it didn't take a genius to work it out, he was done for if no one could help and Sludge had got his powers there was no stopping him. It was then Reggie realised that there was no creator, Sludge was going to be disappointed, after all what kind of creator would let the baddie win, let a poor innocent bystander (that being himself) get destroyed, surely not for a good yarn, after all this was a real life now not some fictional man in another world, no, he was Reginald George Watts and he was as real as London was real. One thing he did know was he was alone and he was going to need to put up some kind of defence.
He scrabbled back away from Sludge, if he had all his power he could snap Reggie, “Laurence if he's got some of his power back can't you somehow get yours back.”
Its worth a try, let me come forward. I have advanced combat training anyway, once I lost my powers before and had to take on sludge, I had a friend who taught me how to hand to hand.
“Now you tell me this! Laurence you Bastard now you tell me you have fighting knowledge, you...you git.” He smiled withdrawing into his own subconscious, it was beginning to get easier to let Laurence take over, which was a worry; after this he wanted shot of the man once and for all.
By now a crowd had began to gather around the scene, seeing the police doing nothing but watching several jeered them for not helping, although any who tried to break through the shield were propelled backwards, “We're waiting for backup, there's nothing we can do.” They protested, “There's erm...never been anything like this before.”
Several people tried in vain to help Reggie, they even tried a group push at the field none of it worked.
“Someone should get the news here now, this is a big story, I mean it's just two men fighting but inside a what?...a force field I mean we can't do that yet right?”
Whoever it was someone made the call, the media was the next to show up just before the police back-up.
By now Laurence was giving Sludge back as good as he got, aside from some telekinesis Sludge had not regained his original strength if he had Laurence and Reggie would have been dead. There seemed to be some differences between them after all Sludge had consumed the body he had taken where as Laurence and Reggie co-existed in Reggies body but how did he get his powers back? He ducked under a blow, Reggie's body not being the most agile meant it clipped him but not enough to do any real damage.
He glanced about, more police had shown up, specialist teams now, several were using the battering rams they used to raid houses on the shield, cameras from the media were being set up, this was going to be a field day. Reggie had come here hoping to get away from putting people in danger but their curiosity was getting the better of them. Distracted Sludge managed to hit him straight in his already mangled nose.
That wasn't to say that Laurence had done no damage to him, Sludge was bleeding heavily, Laurence had never killed before but with Super-powers it meant he was never in any real danger, he always outsmarted Sludge but he didn't see any other way, it went against every moral code he had, yet the thought persisted for him to survive – for Reggie to survive - he was going to have to kill this man, who was family and he was going to have to take the life of the man who's body Brandon had infested.
Yet Sludge was not slow, he had a greater control of the body, he had some amount of power, there were several ways he had to disable the man but he had to get close and he was only going to get close if Sludge allowed him to, teasing Sludge sent a wall of force knocking him backwards, he grinned and said nothing.

Breaking news at one o'clock, the BBC lunchtime news is brought to you live from Greenwich Park South-eastern London. Good Afternoon Nick what exactly is going on down there.
The news reporter had managed to get close enough to the invisible shield by now people did nothing but watch. Unsure what was going on. Under any other circumstances it appeared to be a homeless man attacking what apperred to be a relatively well to do city worker. However the fact that something was protecting them, stopping any help getting through there was a air here that something important going on.
“Good Afternoon,” The reporter began, “I'm Nick Henshore, I've been here for nearly ten minutes now, where in the park this morning a truly baffling event is happening.
“Behind me as you can see two men are engaged in quite a serious fight, now many of you at home would ask why the police haven't stopped it, haven't intervened, after all you can see them just behind me. However what we're seeing here is something quite unexpected. Whenever anyone tried to get close.” Nick moved his hand towards the field where it was forcefully pushed backwards, “This happens, so far not only have the people gathered here been baffled by it, several experts equally baffled are making their way here as we speak.
“From what we have learned the park police were sought over forty-five minutes ago just shortly after this fight started, finding the men engaged they moved to break up the fight and were forcefully prepelled away by what we can only for now explain as a 'forcefield' a generally science-fiction term in itself.
“For now we can do nothing but watch as these two men battle...

Russell spat out the coffee he'd just poured, the T.V had been on in the break room and he'd just taken a moment out, he was in the zone man, on the ball he'd just secured a deal for the firm that was going to get a major bonus, maybe a promotion depending on Barry's mood.
He didn't know what had caught his attention, he was still buzzing thinking about how he was going to get absolutely hammered that night maybe a line of the white stuff – which he only used to celebrate – but the the noise of the small box in the corner had made him turn there were others about a small group had gathered it was about lunch time so it made sense that there were other in here. Winners like Russell didn't need lunch he fought on until dinner.
The coffee was still dribbling down his chin as he shoved his way through the crowd of people towards the T.V set.
For a moment he watched, didn't recognise the park, “Is that...what the hell is that fat git doing, that's Reggie?”
“Yea.” someone said, not quiet listening.
“What's going on?”
“Someone attacked him, Russ.”
“Why aren't they helping him?”
“That's the weird thing, there's some kind of shield no one can get in.”
“Stupid-fat, idiot.” He said biting his lip with his not insubstantial amount of tooth, “BARRY!” he shouted leaving the room.

“That's Watts.” Officer Andrews said. He had just gone for his meal relief where the Television in the station canteen. He stood leaving his food untouched as he moved closer to the T.V to get a better look at the unfolding scene, several other officers had moved closer to the smaller set.
“Have we had a call over this?” he asked the man next to him who was stuffing a crisp into his mouth, “I dunno'” he said crunching obviously enjoying the action.
“It's really weird there's some kind of invisible wall stopping our lot getting in.” said someone else who was also glued to the screen.
“Does chief-inspector Roberts know?”
No one answered, leaving his food untouched he left the canteen looking for his superior officer.
He found his superior officer gearing up to leave, “You've heard the dispatch?” He asked Andrews.
“No I was on meal relief saw it on the news, Watts?”
Roberts clenched his jaw and nodded, “He told me this was going to happen, I saw something happen to him, there's something very strange about him.” He said not mentioning but referring to the conversation he had with Laurence Barns, he had no idea still what to make about that meeting it still played over and over in his mind how his face had changed – his eyes! - yet everything inside him told him how preposterous the idea had been there was something about Reggie Watts that had been so pathetic that he couldn't help but trust him.
That was why he wasn't about to allow him to be hurt, “Yes it's Watts and I think he's found our killer. Cancel your break Andrews your coming with us.”

Irene, shaken but ever determined to spread the gossip had ventured the short walk across the main road, over to the social club. After all the girls were meeting and she was eager to tell them of her heroics and how she had battled that madman. She needed a very stiff, strong drink anyway, there was no longer any worry about the hangover she had woken up with.
She had seen Reggie briefly - that stupid boy – she didn't think she had ever been so glad to see him, once again he had disappeared after locking up the house and giving his keys to the police so they could inspect the crime scene.
They sat huddled around in the room drinking and gossiping, being the middle of the day the T.V was on in the corner. The girls watched in horror as Irene went into detail of waking up and finding the smelly man at the end of her bed. They gasped in appropriate places and Irene felt very content now that she was more in her comfort zone. While putting on brave face she had yet to face up to the prospect of having to return home and face the darkness, she didn't know if she could do that yet still at least her Reggie was back and at least she knew he'd be there this time. They needed to have a talk she had no idea where he had been or what he had been doing these last few weeks; it was so out of character for him.
“Irene.” Called the bartender, she looked over as he pointed at the tele, “Isn't that your son on the news?”
“Again.” She said. At this rate he was going to become a celebrity, after all she read a lot of magazines and it did not take much these days to become one.
“I think he's in trouble Rene.” He said as she moved closer to the television with dawning horror she saw her boy engaged in some sort of street fight, “Why aren't they helping him.” She said her eyes wide with horror as her hand came to her mouth she realised that the man he fought was her attacker.
“Oh that stupid boy.” She said, grabbing her coat – the girls scuttled out after her leaving the room empty, the bartender turned back to watch the action.

Laurence knew he couldn't keep this up, both men were equally battered by now, Sludge or the man who had Sludge's mind had looked in a terrible state in the first place, now battered, bruised and bloody he looked horrific like the survivor of some kind of disaster. They had been fighting for over an hour, more time than this body could take – he was weak Reggie had been so quiet that the man could be unconscious although with the damage to his body the man could be in a coma, or dead. Which was not an option Laurence wanted to even contemplate, after all he might not entirely like Reginald but the man had been a part of him for nearly a month now, there was a innocence to him that was almost to be pitied but the real reason was that Reggie was an innocent pawn in this. Why he had died in Neopolis and woke up in his body was anyone's guess but he did know that Reginald had not asked for the dubious pleasure; after all his normal mundane life had been shattered by it all, he was hardly the strongest of personalities.
Both men were exhausted as they faced off for a moment they had moved warily away from each other, allowing them catch their breaths for moment, “Give up Sludge.” He said.
“Never Barns.” He said wiping the blood from his lips and spitting it at him.
“This man!” Laurence called out, “Is the Laurence Barns killer, this morning he attacked an innocent old lady in her bed, are you going to let him get away with this?” The crowd roared their disapproval, they were as worked up as him, trying to batter their way in, trying to help.
With a last ditch effort Laurence launched himself at Brandon, there was no finesse to their fighting now as they rolled around on the ground, covering theirselves in mud and muck, Sludge clawed, scratched and bit at him.

“In a development to the ongoing strange scene here in the park in Greenwich .” Nick Henshore of the BBC continued back on air with this strange story that was now gripping the nation, people were really rooting for Reggie, “It's been confirmed that the gentleman in the suit is Reginald Watts, who made headlines a few weeks ago after he was stopped from what might have been an attempted suicide attempt while trying to gain support for a popular movement, dressed as a superhero. We now have footage from when he came into our breakfast show a week ago.” To the people at home people watched some of the interview where Reggie had been on and it was first announced about the Laurence Barns killer.
“In a strange twist of events this man he is currently engaged with attacked Watt's mother only this morning, police sources have confirmed this however interestingly, when watching the clip again watch Mr. Watts face as it is revealed there is someone murdering Laurence Barns's.” The clip was shown again, Reggies face paled in the clip it was obvious he knew something.
“The question is did Mr. Watts at that time know the Laurence Barns killer, this man attack his mother to try and silence him, just what is going on here today in the Park? More as it comes in.”

Russell, Barry and half the office had made their way down to Greenwich Park , and while Reggie might have been the butt of many of their jokes he was a part of their team, their staff. Only they were allowed to rile Watts, any one else who thought they could mess with him had another thing coming. Reggie had been a perminant resident of their office for twenty years now and while he was none of their friends this was a matter of pride for the office. They looked after their own at the end of the day, and Russell deep down only ragged on Watts because the man was good at what he did, he had learnt from Watts. Sure he had out grown his abilities but Watts was what made him.
Barry only pushed him because he wanted him to be more forceful, if he'd have just pushed harder with clients instead of being so god-damned polite all the time he'd have had a promotion in the bag years ago, they clambered their way through the crowds with some amount of determination, “That in there is our friend!” Russell shouted to the crowd ripping his pink tie off, “are we going to stand here and let him be attacked by this man!” he said waving it round like rallying call.
“No!” chanted the crowd.

Roberts and Andrews had arrived too, they made their way to the fore identifying themselves to the other officers around, they saw Russell in the distance waving his tie, “He's right we've just got to put all the effort we have into this thing maybe weaken it. They took up their rams and began moving forwards with all the people surrounding them.
“Come on Watts, give him hell.” Roberts muttered to himself but Andrews nodded in agreement.

Laurence had gained the advantage, people were really rooting for him, well for Reggie they didn't know he was here.
“See that Reggie, all these people have turned up for you.” He said looking at the surging crowd, it was becoming dangerous out there, people were going to get crushed.
He saw Russell up above the others rallying them around, “Look even the people you thought hated you, that you hated have come here to support you Reg.” Laurence Smiled and he could sense the shock from Reggie somewhere inside, he was fading fast but he sensed the surprise, the joy at seeing Russ, and those stupid teeth rooting for him for a change.
“I'll get you through this.” He said, wrapping his slick hands tight around Brandon's throat, the man began to write, choke and buck trying to free himself. Laurence winced at having to do this.
“It's over Sludge.” He said quietly as he saw the shield around them was beginning to give as Sludge began to lose conciousness.
“It's never over!” He grinned, “Ever!”.
With the last of his strength Laurence felt a hit to his stomach, he must have got a knee up, it didn't matter he hardly felt it as he applied the pressure, Brandon had gone purple, his eyes had rolled up inside his skull, it was over.
Sighing with relief exhaustion, he slipped off of him suddenly feeling very weak he fell over his head swooning, his hand coming away from his stomach sticky, it was then he noticed the dripping knife in the dead hand of Brandon. He looked down, “Oh god.” he said beginning to weep, Sludge had not only stabbed him he'd nearly eviscerated him. He could feel his life pouring out – no not his life, his life had been over that day in Neopolis – this was Reggie's.
“I'm so sorry.” He said coughing up blood trying to struggle forward. The shield had collapsed and people had rushed to help him. The paramedics had already began to surround him.
The crowd were silent, weeping this had affected them, they were really rooting for Reggie he had apprehended the Laurence Barns killer and he had dispensed justice on a man who had ruined many lives, it was not the justice of the law – but many would say it was the justice deserved.
“Let me through, that's my boy let me through!” Irene fought her way through the crowd, “That's my boy!” she shrieked.
The crowd let her through, as did the police and the paramedics, Laurence withdrew as she knelt in the blood soaked mud beside him, tears streamed from his eyes, “I'm sorry mum.” He said, “There's been so much happening I took you for granted.”
He gripped her arm tight, “He was the man who killed all those men in London, I had a friend called Laurence Barns, I saved him I think. I saved what he was protecting all along.”
She felt his grip going limp. “Don't you dare leave me boy!” She scolded, “Please don't go Reggie.”
His eyes were rolling back but he smiled, “I don't think I've got much of a choice.” he slurred.
“Do something!” She shouted at the paramedics as she moved back.

“Events here today might never been fully understood.” Said Nick being a reporter he was not supposed to be emotionally involved but the sadness surrounding him was so real, so strong he could all most taste it he had not witnessed times like this in a long time, it felt as if he had witnessed something special even if none of them knew what it was.
“It is great sadness I tell you that it's been confirmed Reginald George Watts has passed away. We head back to the studio now, where hopefully someone can make some sense of just happened in on a cold winters morning in Greenwich south-east London.
“I'm Nick Henshore, BBC corrispondent handing back over to the studio.”

Epilogue 1

(Baby Barns)

When the the rescue workers dug her out from under the rubble it was the first hint of day light she had seen in three days. She had survived by drinking rain water that had puddled around her head.
She knew she ought to be dead, knew that she he thought she was, but Laura Barns had been a lucky girl.
When Sludge had kidnapped her she knew it was all over, her husbands greatest enemy had finally done what they worried he always might and go after those who Laurence loved.
The Paramedics didn't wonder why a large patch of her hair was missing, sludge had taken a chunk of it when he had dropped her from the height he had, she should be dead. What kept her alive she didn't know but as she fell he destroyed the building around her and it had all gone black.
She clutched her stomach happy to be alive, looking forward to seeing Laurence she had some wonderful news, he was going to be a daddy.

Epilogue 2

(Finished)

Not looking forward to the work he was facing that afternoon, he could at least appreciate what that he had finally finished the book.
He hadn't known where it was going when he first started, the ideas always started hazy, seeming to grow momentum as they went all most writing themselves.
Wiping his forhead and taking a sip of tea he smiled, the ending were always bittersweet – he would after all miss the characters, they felt as real to him as any person he knew.
The front door went and he checked his watch, he was cutting it close to leave but he couldn't go this close to the end, it'd be cool he wasn't often late if it was ten minutes or so it wouldn't matter.
The door to the living room opened, “Your still here.” Said Georgina
“Yeah just finishing up, got that story I was telling you about finally finished.”
She nodded, rolling her eyes slightly.
“See the news today?” She asked.
“Nope, doing this.”
“Some things happening up the park, police had cordoned it off and everything must be serious whatever it was, just thought if it were that big it might be on tele.
Lee's eyes widened slightly as he looked at the monitor, couldn't be that's just...He laughed shaking his head and picking up the remote control.
“Anyway what do you fancy for dinner.” She asked taking off her coat as Lee settled in to watch the news.
The End.

While the book is set in what is mostly a realistic london it must be pointed out that I have taken certain...liberties with certain things. I don't think you'll find much wrong but whats wrong is usually wrong on purpose.
Whatever is wrong I'll leave up to you to decide.

Reggie does live in Greenwich where I live but he does not live in any house that I now or have ever lived in, there is a reason beside the fact I live in greenwich other than the fact I live here and that is during a early Hyper-man story he Laurence does slip through reality and wake up in greenwich (outside my mum and dads house from what I can remember, well I was living their at the time).
If you know Greenwich well enough you could work out the street Reggie lives on, there is no reason for it it just was the first to pop up in my head, still the people that acutally live there might not like certain elements of the story (fictional as they are) to take place in their house so I've left it vague.

More as I think on it.

P.S sorry for the unhappy ending, to be fair Reggie did save me from Sludge for which I'm eternally grateful for, If Laurence had been more observante in his last fight he might have noticed Nick Henshore was the news man from Neopolis and worked out that Reggie's 'London' wasn't the real one either wink wink.
