There is a need for better understanding and treatment of this special animal.
A Wolf’s Prayer

Oh Lord, what have I done to deserve such a fate?
I am hunted by humans who want me to die.
A peaceful place to roam, I cannot seem to locate.

I was put on this earth with a beautiful mate.
I wander through the wilderness under the starlit sky.
Oh Lord, what have I done to deserve such a fate?

In spring comes helpless babies, who the pack must educate.
Their daily play brings strength and growth that later they will apply.
A peaceful place to roam, I cannot seem to locate.

We help nature to balance when the other animals over populate.
Weak deer or moose cold hunters would us greedily deny.
Oh Lord, what have I done to deserve such a fate?

We are hunted by the air and our pups poison gas does asphyxiate.
Loving parents who are out hunting cannot hear their children’s dying cry.
A peaceful place to roam, I cannot seem to locate.

I wish there was a better way to end man’s cruel, intense hate.
I say that the world is for all and in harmony we should occupy.
Oh Lord, what have I done to deserve such a fate?
A peaceful place to roam, I cannot seem to locate.
