Not Enough Reasons.

Prologue:

“Come here Rona.” The man said as he twirled the pistol around his index finger. What did he want with me, why was I here? Both of these questions raced through my mind, as he slowly stood up. “You don’t need to be afraid I will not hurt you…” he trailed off as he came closer; the darkness of the new moon was making it impossible to see him. Then he walked in front of the only source of light, the window. Even if he hadn’t stepped in front of the window I still would have been able to tell who he was, because I had already met him before. He had been my best friend.

Rona

“Ugg…” I groaned as I rolled over my neon bedspread and punched the snooze button on my phone. I glanced over at the basketball clock that hung above my brother’s toddler bed and then sighed in frustration. It was so inconvenient to have bad eyesight. I sat up and stretched my back cracking as I leaned backward. It was time to get up and get ready for jazz band. Most of the band students thought that five thirty in the morning was sleeping in because all of the girls get up between three and four thirty in the morning to do their hair. I’m dedicated enough to get up and be there but I’m not dedicated enough to my appearance to get up an extra two to three hours to do my hair. In my opinion they invented hats and rubber bands for the kind of people like me. I would rather get an award for good grades than for good looks. Well at least I have one thing none of the other "popular" girls have, my own perfect half...Rick.
