A Wish

Don't remove the burden from my shoulders,
Give me strength.

Don't brighten my dark path,
Give me courage.

Don't chase away my sadness,
Teach me that life is a mixture.

Don't hide the wrong paths,
Give me the power to choose.

Don't stop the others from hurting me,
Give me the power to bear.

Don't stop me from committing mistakes,
Teach me to learn from them.

Don't reverse time,
Teach me to value it.

Don't let my job be easy,
Make me understand that there is no gain without pain.

Don't control my temper,
Make me realise the disadvantages of losing it.

Don't tell me what is right or wrong,
Give me wisdom.

Don't make my life wonderful,
Teach me how to love it.

Don't give me what I want,
Give me what i need.
