Franz Ferdinand

Erika [Narrator]: Franz Josef is emperor of Austria-Hungary. He supports nationalism towards his ethnic race. Franz Josef is full of hatred and bitterness because his son, the next in line for the throne, committed suicide. The man hates his nephew, Franz Ferdinand, because he supports equal rights for the people he will govern.

Amanda [Franz Ferdinand]: Please, High Minister, will you marry Sophie and I?

Alex [High Minister]: I'm sorry, but I cannot. I have been forbidden to support you, or give allegiance to you, in any way.

Amanda [Ferdinand]: Thank you for your time sir.

(Amanda [Ferdinand], walks away from Alex [High Minister] and over to Reed [Minister])

Amanda [Ferdinand]: Will you marry us, Minister?

Reed [Minister]: Yes, I might as well. Franz Josef does not care about us common people, anyways.

(Amanda [Ferdinand] and Reed [Minister] walk over to Elaina [Sophie.]

Amanda [Ferdinand]: I do.

Elaina [Sophie]: I do.

Reed [Minister]: You may now kiss the bride.

(Elaina [Sophie] and Amanda [Ferdinand] air kiss)

Erika [Narrator]: Sophie is another reason that Franz Josef hated his nephew. She is a common women, and Ferdinand is part of the Royal family. Josef does not approve of commoners being married into royal families. A while after they had been married, Ferdinand and Sophie are riding in their car in Sarajevo Bosnia. Six Serbian students who took part in a radical group called Young Bosnia, which fought against Austrian Rule, had come to Sarajevo to bring down the Royal Family. Princip and Cabrinovic (CAB-REEN-O-VICH) were two of the students.

Kasha [Princip]: There they are!

Kimi [Cabrinovic] , Alex, Levi, Bryce, and Reed [All students]: Yes, we see them. Shut up, already.

Erika: Cabrinovic then throws a bomb at the couple. It misses and bounces of their car.

Meghan [Chauffeur]: Shoot. I took the wrong turn.

Kasha [Princip]: Here's my chance!

(Kasha [Princip] shoots her revolver and hits Sophie first, then Ferdinand.]

Amanda [Ferdinand]: Sophie, Sophie, please don't die. Live for my children.

Meghan [Chauffeur]: Isn't your Highness in great pain?

Amanda [Ferdinand]: It is nothing, it is nothing, it is nothing, it is nothing, it is nothing, it is nothing.

(Amanda [Ferdinand] makes a gurgling noise and dies next to Sophie)

Erika [Narrator]: Princip is arrest, and the whole of Europe goes into war.
