I often wonder, will my life become like some, 'Just Another Life Wasted?'
Just Another Life Wasted

Talent?  She had so much that it made your head swim,
Beauty?  Wherever she went, heads turned as she walked in
Her future was brighter than the morning sun rays,
So why oh why, was today her last day?

She sang like a lark, danced with magical ease
She went where she wished, did as she pleased
No matter who she was with, they were captivated,
So why was hers simply, just another life wasted

Muscles? His were chiseled, head topped with blonde hair
Athletic? In sports competition, none could compare
He was soon to turn pro, dominate his field
But in death his true weakness, was revealed

He jumped higher than it seemed a man could leap
He threw farther and ran faster, rewards were his to reap
No matter who faced him, they were always bested
So why was his, just another life wasted

So many people leave this earth in their prime
They die while so young, called before their time
We are left here in sadness, many times in tears
Wondering why this happens, so young in their years

It is well known that greatness is achieved,
By hard work and dedication that is hard to believe,
When greatness is eliminated by dying so young,
We are left thinking, of memories so far flung

When my time is here, and I meet my maker,
Will I be remembered as a point of anchor?
Or someone who loved others, had little hatred,
But never achieved his goal, and lived; just another life wasted
