As I Rest in Peace

I have come to a point in my life where I have realized that life is nothing but a one way road to one destination; death. Longer or the shorter the path you take, it certainly leads to one end. It is my wish that mine be as short as naturally possible. I wrote this poem to let my heart out for the first time after my breakup with my first and only love forever…

Under a shadow so dark, my mind is finally at peace
Coldness wrapping around me gives me the sense of a chilling breeze
A song of a thousand tears, I hear it is such a musical masterpiece
I’m at peace; my mind is ready for a future where time shall freeze

Living in a present drawn by my very own frozen past
I have killed my future; turned myself into an icy cold of heart
Among all my friends, family, and the rest, they number in so vast
I live with a smile, tears in my heart, staying from you apart

I saw the dream of a lifetime, but it was all just another dream
The dream is no more, the sun is up and the night has come to an end
But how can I forget, my feelings are still flowing in a flooded stream
A broken heart cut so deep, wounded so bad, can time really mend?

The time has come, the signal is lit for me to be treated V.I.P
For I am ready like never before, with peace in my mind to R.I.P
