Free verse
There
Gliding swiftly
Flying
Carving the element that is his.
Darting
Food!
A flash of color
Bright reflection of Sunlight
He twists and
SNAP!
The insect caught.
Swoops down.
And sees rocks beneath him.
Tiny plants within their crevices.
Higher now!
Fly towards the Sun!
Cold currents rush around him.
And then a rainbow flash.
The fish slides out of sight.
