Prayer of inclusion for all to take part in the communion of life. Breathe. |
Peace in Motion Breathe in. The wind is peace in motion, and you are both catcher and giver of the divine spirit. With every breath in and out, you become an active participant, a windmill of the spirit. You are life. To be otherwise is to cease breathing. But even the stillness of breath is not the end of your story. Your soul will become one with the wind, with the spirit. The memory of you will be given and caught by words from those who have been touched by your presence. Words, and the memories they call forth, like breath, will go in and out, in and out. But for now, you breathe. Even those moments when you wish to disappear; to become one with the underside of a stone, you are still participating in the communion of life, for we all breathe in and out, in and out. And even when the wind feels more like a tornado circling us around our origins and back to where we stand, it is still peace in motion. Peace in motion is breath, and to breathe is to live. Breathe out. And then, breathe in again. SWPoet 10-5-2010 Reading suggestion: Living Buddha, Living Christ by Thich Nhat Hanh (and other books by this author) |
