Change is change. Nothing to it. It doesn't equate to anything.
Life has been making you see things since you've discovered it. Before, you were just trying to live through the day. When you were younger, you wait for the Holidays so you could see your cousins and grandparents. Now as you grow older, you wait because of the bonus. Your goals have changed, and some of your personalities too. You learn to adapt to other people and maybe even absorb one or two of their characteristics. Then one fine day, you begin to look back - have I changed this much so far?

Truth be told, all people change over time. Some may be petty and some may be noteworthy. If you see your grade school classmates, would you laugh at their jokes? Or have you outgrown them and find it nonsensical? Of course not. You still find their quip humorous and entertaining. Surely, your take on night-out and travelling preferences have some differences but the main course is, the underlying personality is still intact and you begin to reflect - have I not changed at all?

Everybody's yelling change is good and change is for the better or change shows maturity. But actually, change is objectively inevitable. It doesn't make you better nor make you mature. Change is change. Nothing to it. It doesn't equate to anything. If you change your preference from going to a concert to a musical play, does it mean that you've outgrown modern music and bands? No. It just means you've broaden your artistic intake of music. Do you burn your CDs and cassettes? No. You just give them away since it's clustering your apartment. But you still have some copies of them in your hard drive.

Life has been making you see things since you've discovered it. And when you have, you change a bit of your self. Does it mean you mature? Maybe a part of you, yes. But only you can tell that. But I'd like to suggest it doesn't. What makes you mature then? If you favour earning money than reading a blog, kidding! - It’s the experience.
