Now that I've the strength
It's hard for me to say this
Guess it's always been that way
But I'm leaving here forever
Now that I've the strength

There is no looking back now
I'm not the kind to ever return
I don't think you thought you'd lose me
And now it's too late to learn

But I know you'll hear about me
Your mind will wander in the night
And the whispers of our friends
Give you the sense that I'm alright

I don't know if that's appeasing
But I think I may not care
For the last of me shall linger
Like familiar scents within the air

And even though I've disappeared
You'll see me all around
You'll remember me as a "maybe"
And a love you nearly found

You may wish to reach for me
As for me your heart does long
But I will be just beyond you
Because that's my kind of gone
