the life in the army deploying as a father
I'm lying here watching the flags fly in the wind
I can hear my son's voice from within
I'm in Afghan seeing the national flags fly together
The day will come when we are back together
The mountains are full of sand and rocks
Can't wait til you see the ship at the docks
Waiting for the big ship to pick us up
It's in the back of my mind am I ever going to wake up
The motors come and the rounds head down range
I always heard the rounds fill like a spider's fang
When it sinks into the skin and the poison burns the blood
Artillery shoots like the bibles flood
The rain is the desial that burns from our trucks
The moon is full, the sky is dark, I hear whistling O this sucks
Here I go again RUN! Then I snap out of it
I'm with my son look boy, there!
Litsen to this, son I love you and you love me and trust me when I can say I feel it
Right here!
