Like a train flying off its tracks

          hard, fast, and unexpected
          my head is swimming
          with thoughts, worries, and fears
Like quicksand sucking me down
          farther into this strange
          place where everything seems
                    okay
          but I am unsure of this reality
                it seems false
Like the almost pleasant numbness
          that the drugs place around you
          a warm blanket of indifference
          that seems to never fade
          I know it can't be real
          but it is real in my mind
Like fireworks exploding around me
          my love for you is shown
          but I'm afraid it won't last
          because,
