It shouldn't be this hard
It's the liveliness inside of me
You are slowly bleeding out
And the evidence of a pessimist
But I still never have a doubt

I won't be giving you the priviledge
I will not relieve your pain
Because one day you'll believe me
As your heart finally gives way

I did not destroy you
I am not to blame
This uglinnes; this brokenness
Is not part of some game

Never did you play the fool
And never can I say
That I can walk away from you
Totally unscathed
