tortured loathing fed the caustic
callow revulsion of your breath
suppressing meaningless dialogue

i turned and stared at your mocking gaze
flew into a rage and destroyed all
impotence with my toxic hate

you rolled over and went back to sleep
nothing would ever rock your world
you were sheltered from any discomfort

i screamed at your god
begged for his destructiveness
he only laughed and slipped me a mickey

i awoke to a festering screeching racket
the world was awake with regret and hunger
craving a new catastrophe to plunge us into chaos

you callously laughed at my withered stump
i slumped back to the corner and whimpered
licking my wounds and rocking into oblivion

i am a prisoner of your whimsy
dancing at your feet
begging for your attention

i am a hollow shell of lunacy
stomping your feet and angrily waving your finger
shouting obscenities at the mirror

what once was alive is now dead
strangled by your lies and deceptions
stiff and lifeless gaping at nothing

a shrunken and atrophied celebrity
poisoned millions of minds
festooned with phony imagery and fake fright
