A story about the Great Deity, John, the chair people and their destiny.
*Authors note: This is my first actual story and that it is still a work in progress and that im scared it might be deletes so im keeping it here. Chairs rule.

Part 1: The oath of the hero

It was a boring day in the kingdom of Haulberdasch as John, a great warrior of epic proportions, was waiting in front of the Temple of Libr Ary for Thalia to arrive. Thalia was the head priestess and that he thinks that she has her reasons for wanting to meet at the most boring place in all Hauberdasch. Boredly, he began to pass the time by humming showtunes until a scroll pops up infront of his face. He picked it up and it read, "Dear John. Im already in the 'DO NOT READ IT' section of the temple. Meet you there, well, because you cant teleport, and i can. Love, Thalia". Ignoring the insult, he went inside and looked and looked and looked and looked in the temple until he came upon the "DO NOT READ" section. "Thaaaaalia," he called out, "Thaaalia, i know your here, i can FEEL you."

"That was creepy," Thalia said.

"Well you started it" John replied.

"Whatever. Well I found something that might have something to do with all of us, and why we have a head priestess without a trace of religion"

"And why did you drag me here?"

"Shut up will you?"

John whispered olden time obscenities into Thalia's ear and, as a result, was smacked up the head. As John was recovering from the hit, Thalia opened a book called "The history of the chair people" and began reading aloud.

"Legend speaks of a Great Deity that once protected the land known as Chairopolis, he has given them all powers over all chairs and they have lived a long and peaceful life until an unknown force invaded them ("Sounds like the Legion to me" said John). Try as they might but the Deity was not with them and thus they were almost defeated. Fortunately, the Deity was not just about to let his people perish. The last head priestess("Wait. That means you!") was able to offer up the best chair in the land and from that chair, the Deity has come down from his cloudy domain and went out to fight the invasion. The invaders were no match for the Deity's epic chair powers and they had to retreat. The Deity soon found out that even he could not trespass the line between heaven and earth and so, before he left, he rebuilt the entire kingdom("...with his chair powers") and left the priestess with a glowing scroll. The Deity said that they had to use it during another emergency like this because he could not go back to earth because he said that either the effort of getting here or the paperwork will kill him. So the chair that the deity used was then called the Heavens Throne and was disguised as a kings throne ("...") and the rest of the events have been faded by the shadow of time."

John just sat there, thinking that maybe, they were the chair people and that they have just forgotten. "Maybe, if we call to the Great Deity, we might just hear a reply." Thalia said, shuddering. John was about to reply until the temple started to collapse. "What was that?" Thalia cried. They began running out of the the temple as fast as they could. Thalia, panicking, forgot all about her ability to teleport and John, scared for his life literally flew out the temple with Thalia trailing closely behind. However, the sight that awaited them was so overwhelming that John screamed, "OH MY BIN LADEN!" The kingdom was in smoulders as the warriors approach the evil forces. But even the Haulberdaschian Army were no match for dragons! "Dragons?! Who in chairs name brings dragons to a war?!? Its overkill!" says a warrior as he was fried to a crisp by a passing... dragon. This was too much for John, "If I die now, I will die fighting!" he screams rushing towards the fray, picking up a conveniently placed sword as Thalia grabbed the edge of his tunic...
