A poem I wrote for my wife.
UN-NOTICED

There is a woman that is in my life
Deserving of these words I write
And I know I could not survive
Without her day and night

The little things she does
She might see as just routine
But they don’t go un-noticed by me
For they are clearly seen.

A cup of coffee in the morning
On the table and waiting for me
Even when my eyes are barely open
My heart can clearly see

Clothes so neatly folded
In a dresser drawer  with care
Tells me so completely
That her loving hands were there

A call from her just saying “hi”
In the middle of the day
Just because she misses me
The short time that I’m away

I see the way she looks at me
When I am standing near
Though out of the corner of my eye
I could never see more clear

Even the unseen things she does
On my heart are surely noted
And I am so undeserving
Of a woman who is so devoted

Now I don’t usually count all of my blessings
But there is one I count each day
One that is straight from Heaven
And for the purpose I write today

A woman as much as an artist
Whom I can call my wife
See how she has made her canvass
Out of my very life

Creating a perfect painting
In every little thing that she does
Going each day un-noticed
Or so she thought she was
