A MEMORY TO HOLD IN MY HEART Faded photographs from long ago bring memories of loving you. Together we were happy then, years ago when our love was new. Now all that is left is a memory to hold in my heart, so tenderly. We walked away from love somehow, lasting love was not to be. Still I remember moonlight walks and stars that shone above, hand in hand we explored the feelings that come with true love. I never thought that it would end, to become part of the past but now I know that along the way, love doesn't always last. Many lonely nights and dreams of you still haunt my reverie, I wonder if you ever dream, sometimes stop and think of me. So many years of unshed tears keep on tearing at my heart, I wish we were together, in love again and never more to part. It's time to put away the past and those faded photographs, no more tears over wasted years, remember just the laughs. Time has taken its toll, we have both grown much too old, and the bright burning love of ours has - at last grown cold. Still... Faded photographs from long ago bring memories of loving you. Together we were happy then, years ago when our love was new. Now all that is left is a memory to hold in my heart, so tenderly. We walked away from love somehow, lasting love was not to be.
