Battlefield of words.

Ink runs through my veins
The paper taunts playfully
Another game with banter
Bounded by unseen chains.

Scribbled words in disarray
Hollow voices like a whisper
Images flood into my mind
Like ghosts they sit and stay.

My world being a battlefield
Signs of struggle to the end
Black and white stand strong
A resistance is now revealed.

Thrashing and tossing about
Words grow in numbers now
Power exceeds my strength
Writing in a fog with no doubt.

Storms rage and writing still
Rapidly the wars are painted
The blood and loss is colored
Desire to write burns until filled.
