Did you ever feel a passion So pure, so true, So you knew it would never end? Did you ever wish for someone To feel such a passion Towards you? I wandered out on a shiny night, A warm breeze tickled my neck, It guided me to a riverbank There I was standing Waiting, silently, I watched the moon The river was streaming, Softly, gently, Like a stream of passion While I was pondering, A girl came standing next to me I asked her her name. ‘My name you do already know,’ ‘Since we’ve met many times before.’ It was then when I recognized her. I asked her what she was doing here. ‘I am full of thoughts I can not fully comprehend,’ ‘And I wished for your presence to warm my heart.’ I held her, and told her things she already knew. ‘Your love for me is strong,’ ‘Though do you not think it would be better to let go of me?’ I explained to her my feelings, My struggles and my longing for her. She told me: ‘You are enslaved by your dreams.’ I told her in every way I could think of, That I would love her until my very end. She told me: ‘Your love is everlasting indeed.’ ‘Even though you know it will end in your doom,’ ‘You still hold me, loving like a flower needs the sun.’ I asked her why she was torturing me. She replied to me ‘You are torturing yourself,’ ‘there is no way I can free you of your love.’ Yet, my love for you goes on. Like an endless dream of time. I sought for you all my life |
