The world moves on
Keeps moving, flowing,
Wind keeps on blowing,
The fruit on the trees
Along with the birds and the bees
Just keep on growing, growing, growing.
Squirrels scurry and mice hurry
Over rooftops and all through our houses
But as they move do they live with self-worth to prove?
And do they worry about what they still have to lose?
Days, weeks, months, and years
Roll by and by as we sigh and die
With more questions than answers
Of love, happiness, and the meaning of life.
Please answer me, why oh why,
Has everything become so commercialized?
Seasons change, and the time, it passes.
And the people push on against moving on.
But time estranges those who disagree.
Father Time and Mother Nature
Will forever and ever succeed.
