Tiny New Star

I once made a wish,
On a tiny new star,
So tiny, so delicate,
It must have gone far,

I wonder how tiny,
That star really is,
To get to a place,
Where only light lives,

Perhaps it has a life,
A life that is mighty,
Perhaps it can think thoughts
That's why it shines brightly,

If that is the case,
If that's why it shines bright,
It must surely, be thinking
Nice thoughts of me tonight.

To send me a signal,
From such a distance,
As if to say,
I have no resistance,

Its my light
That will guide your way,
And take you through,
Your very days,

I came this far,
So you would know,
That who you are,
You have yet to show...
