Young Love!

He got her belly big,
(an' they just started going out),
at first, they weren't sure
but now...
there wasn't any doubt,
he didn't know what to do,
he got confused right away,
(someone had to tell her parents),
an' it must be done today.

(What would happen now) he wondered,
he was topping at his school,
he didn't hold back his pleasure,
(he was feeling like a fool).
He was far too young to be a dad,
an' she was just sixteen,
the last time (in her village),
she was voted beauty queen.

Slim and sexy, eyes so bright,
every head was turning,
(deep down in her heart) she was the best
an' she was burning,
she was going to own her business,
own her car,
get a house,
now, suddenly in a corner,
she sat quiet as a mouse.

She was too young to be a mother
(all the plans that they had made),
were about to go unanswered
and the memories would fade.
She heard the phone was ringing
so, she reached to answer it,
another pageant offer,but...
(she knew she had to quit).

She could feel her body growing,
(all the changes would come soon),
she could never wear a swimsuit
(when she's looking like a moon).

He could tell that she was worried,
(she was feeling scared within).
He had to make some choices,
what to lose, what to win.
He finally figured out
that he knew
what he must do,
so, he went to her
and simply said,
"It's over! We are through."

When it finally sank
into her head
that she was on her own,
she told her mom
who cried and said,
"If I had only known."
Nonetheless, they came together
an' helped her raise her child
who turned out to be a beauty,
intelligent and mild.

She graduated tops.
He ran to hug her
(smiling proudly),
but, she stopped him
when she said,
"I don't know you,
you're not my daddy"
