Freedom, death and war
An American soldier lies dead upon the floor of an Iraqi apartment. He was young and now is bloodied. In the United States his death was for freedom. The men he killed prior to his death were killed for liberty’s sake. The bombs that careened through the streets and homes in Baghdad did so to bring freedom that those poor savages were denied for so long. During the heady days of the travesty a marine hoisted an American flag above the city of Basra and in doing so proclaimed victory for freedom; below the city was burning and the people cried.
