You Will Know

Not always was it like this

Cold dreary without any sun

But now all I see is pain around me

They tell me to push

To continue the drive

But why must I when all is a lie

They ask me to do it as if they can’t pursue it

Is it because failure put them to it

I can’t see the answer my mind won’t allow

So I push what I can and just pray out loud

I’ve been given this gift

My own brilliant light

To shed on my face some sign of life

If I can do this one thing

If god will allow

Then I will survive

And you will know how
