Dreaming

dreaming was down by the sea
on
a bright, sun-shiny day
but dreaming fell to the waves
and dreaming was swept away.

dreaming was lost to the sea
and
the children forgot to play
but memory hid in glowing caves
and dreaming was there in the spray

dreaming floated, soft on the sea
down
where the sparkles play
out on the crest of laughing waves
like a tune of love from the fae

down trod the maiden, down by the sea -
there
where the sparkles play
dreaming took her beyond the graves
and carried her away

dreaming took her, down by the sea
on
a bright sun-shiny day
dreaming showed the home she craves
and showed to her the way.

dreaming now is waiting to be
what
was always the way
reality is where dreaming saves
that which would fade away.

dreaming has floated now free
and
created a different way
dreaming puts on a new form and braves
reality and it's way.

dreaming was down by the sea
