For when the gloom sets sail (all I have to do is remember who I'm sailing with)
You are the lantern which I hold tightly in my grip, guiding my way through the dark. I feel the warmth seeping through your glowing body, warming my soul, keeping me protected from the cold world. If it wasn't for your guidance, if it was not for the light you provide, I would walk blindly through my heart and fall but, you are always there to catch me every single time. Light is how I now see the world and dark is how I remember my haunting past. Light is how I share my life with you, dark has shown me how to be a better person to you. Floating fog use to drift past me, blinding what went before my eyes, but your beauty has lifted that smoggy haze and has brought a new radiance to my existence. Thank you.
