A poem about a dear friend.
My Incan Maiden (Besos)

I sit in candle light and write
About a person so pure in heart and mind
She has no fault but her own
And no purpose to dispose

On sight she is faint and pale
Her dark hair and eyes match her frailty
Standing on her own two feet
And carrying her burdens well.

With her hand she crafts a skill
With her mind she understands our will

There’s no fight on any path she walks
Juxtaposed with blood of nothing but her own
Standing proud and with her child in her arms:
Man by her side he suckles, growing in her image
Her friend stands closely and admiring his mismanaged success

He’s older and now resembles her,
Her companion at her side who nurtures him, a boy of rain and rainbows.

Three stones she had but 2 remain, of a time and place refrained
Where blood was cast and let by will
Drawn and clouded in smoke

She is clad in many types of cloths, all true and justified
There will never be another time for her to be retried.

To this girl I say only one thing:
For the time in our lives which we have shared, a friend without judgement and with a hand of compassion
I have no way to repay your respect and warm telepathic embrace.
To see you smile is thanks enough and knowing you are there
The friend I can easily esteem, at any time of day.
Blessed I hope you will always be, now and after now
Admired you will always be, because of who you are.
Keep love in your heart and hope in your mind as you try again
Success will be in your hands and will complete a blessed den.

Con tu adios, te llevas, mi Corazon.
Besos
