Take a break and reflect on life as it is..
Tears…

These are considered as the most precious pearls of emotion. Biologically, though, these are mere secretions of the lachrymal glands of the eyes, secreted in response to any foreign particle, infection or just depicting some form of emotion.

Before going deep into my reflection, first I would like to jot down few questions which are popping fresh in my mind, right now. Have we ever pondered over the fact why we basically let go off our emotions in the form of tears? Why is it always considered that girls are more expressive than boys? Can boys and girls be generalized in this aspect? Is it really that easy to let go off one’s emotions in the form of tears? Can anyone conquer over these powerful gales of emotions? The waves of questions just seem unending.

No single human being is similar to the other on this planet. Each individual has some characteristic, unique in its own way. It requires perception from the observer to gauge that trait of the individual. Generally, girls are considered to be a bit weaker than boys. Hence, it becomes very easy for them to relieve themselves of anything harmful in their system in the form of tears. This actually forms a million-dollar question for the boys, I guess – why do girls actually cry over any vague reason? Maybe, girls are emotionally built up in such a way. One very important point comes over at this juncture, i.e. all the girls should not be generalized under one category. There might be many amongst us, who are a bit rational, practical and a bit sensible. On the contrary, there might be boys who are insensible and very irrational. My stress here is to break the age-old myth that “girls know only how to cry.”

When we reflect within ourselves, we’ll get to notice a wide variation with respect to these pearls of emotion. There exists an individual who gives vent to his/her anger in the form of tears. There is a compassionate mother whose eyes brim with emotion, just taking a glance at her baby sleeping blissfully. There is an endearing sister who misses her baby brother every time she comes across anyone of his age. There is a boy who’s very strong and is a constant wall of support for others. But when the going gets difficult, he does share his bit of emotion with someone special in his life. There is a doting daughter, who has to count the number of days left in her mother’s life due to an incurable disease. But she stands strong with a smile etched on her face to make her mother feel stronger. The tears behind that smile remains unseen. There is a silent observer in a home inflicted with a lot of disturbance. The kid grows up seeing his parents argue every single day. Nobody ever notices those silent tears. There exists a father who is mentally broken down by the attitude of his beloved son. How many of us can even imagine our fathers in tears? A teenager might be heartbroken at the loss of someone special, but he never misses out on the late night gaming sessions with friends. This is when he feels matured and tries to camouflage his inner feelings with a wide grin. There is a sister who is constantly trying to outperform her younger sibling. Those tears of desperation go unnoticed. There exists a guy who has lost his father since childhood but has always been a strong wall of support for his mother. Has he never missed his father? Those unseen gales of emotion…

These characters mentioned are not figments of my imagination. Ponder over yourself. One of these characters definitely exists within you. The main purpose is to bar the difference between the two genders on this aspect. We should respect each other’s tears and try to make the environment around a better place to live in.          We should try and be a perfect listener to our parents, teachers, friends and anybody in need. You never know! You might feel comfortable sharing your innermost thoughts to a complete stranger than sharing it with someone known to you. In my opinion, tears are the most priceless embodiments of emotion. They should not be let out that easily. One last advice- those who brim with emotion every now and then, try and keep a control and make sure that this treasure is not wasted away on anything silly or vague. Those who don’t emote at all try and communicate more and be a little more expressive.

Tears of loneliness as well as tears of fulfillment;

Tears of separation as well as tears of union;

Tears of desperation as well as tears of satisfaction.

Tears form a language of their own, easy to understand but difficult to learn.
