This is a poem about a lost love
As the trees sway to the gentle breeze

While the ocean waves brush up

Lightly against the beach

I remember the days

You were here with me as I sit down

At our spot writing down a new

Poem for a moment or two

I forget your not here

With me any longer after I order

Lunch for two I go back to

Our spot and eat some

Of the food as I do

Some sketches as I watch the waves

Gently brush up on the shore

As the trees sway gently

In the light breeze

Once I have finished with my sketch

And my lunch for two I get up

From our spot walking to

Our favorite place

Thinking of what I would always order

For you and what I would always

Order for myself I look inside

My wallet as I order my

Favorite ice cream

As I walk around this small town we

Call home I can’t help but see

Your face every where that

I look  as I walk around

On my own while the waves brush

Gently against the shore and

The trees sway gently in

The summer breeze

I forget for a moment that horrible

Day that I had lost you from my

Life as I write a new poem

For you to see
