Dark Poem

-Intro-
Many have adored the feline spceies,
They've been worshiped as gods and goddesses in Ancient Egypt,
But when the thought of the foresaken black cat creeps into your thoughts,
You think twice about that cute black kitten kneading on your lap...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

It lurks in the shadows of your thoughts,
Feasting on the fears in which it inflicts upon you,
With those deadly daggers hidden within their paws.

The pain isn't physical but mental,
The demon toys with your mind in pleasure,
Cloaking their venom beneath those cheek-licking
Lips, concealing their dark appearance beneath a beautiful
Black pelt, forever stained with their sin.

Watch, parents, as your little girl
Strokes the back of a killer,
Her innocent eyes gleaming but quickly sodden
In tears when the demon cat pierces
Her chest as she is tourmented in the dark,
Nightmares swiftly coming to life
As the black cat pushes its way to her soul.

It overtakes her mind in deception,
Burning her thoughts alive to operate on them the way
Darkness operates on the innocent;
Shredding the flesh as blackness spreads
Like a disease throughtout her body,
Absorbing the future sins and feasting on the toture,

You never thought the cat would be responsible for
The beasts under the bed, did you, mom and dad?

-I know I'm not the greatest at horror such as this, but I tried =P. Just wanted to experiment of something knew ;).
