Poem about a man reflecting on his ending life, but all his can think about is a woman.
As he lay dying
His eyes swim through evening stars
As they twinkle in the brazen night
They all dazzle, each fo them a work of light
As he lay dying
He watched her enter his mind
The thoughts that once tore him apart
Now ease the flow of his unsteady heart
As he lay dying
He doesn't remember things he should
He can only remember her tear-stricken face
And in this, his heart begins to race
As he lay dying
He hears himself chuckle aloud
It had always been staring him in the face
The absence of someone he couldn't replace
So follow through, follow through?
Don't let this lost love fade?
But is it lost to the sea?
Or is it lost to the facade?
Tis easy to arouse counfusion
When the very thought of love confounds
But should one have chased the foolish delusion?
Chasen, chasen love, be abound?
Such a pity, such a shame
That this one heart will never know
For as he lay dying
His heart will soon let go.
