Just as the title says.
I visit upon your home and say
"May I rest upon your floor?"
And though you know I've lost my way,
You laugh, and slam shut your door.

The light around me begins to fade,
Vines creep toward my path,
Through the deepening gloom I wade
A timeless phantom of pity and wrath.

So as you sink into your chair
To warm your feet by the fire's light,
Though seemingly without a care,
Think of me, just out of sight.
