A girl has lost her true love.
Snowflakes were falling as the wind blew across the pond. Trees glistened with white branches and encircled the scenery. A girl mysteriously stepped onto the pond wearing a red, wool coat and a cream beret. Her softly curled chocolate brown hair fell upon her shoulders while her brown eyes sparkled with frozen tears across her face. Her jeans were navy blue, matching her winter gloves as she sat upon the freshly fallen snow on the edge of the pond.
She carefully set her ice skates down upon the ice and took off her boots. As she changed into her skates, she looked up towards the sky to feel the effect of being small among the tall trees. The snowflakes looked like raindops from Heaven as the clouds reached the darkness of grey. She slowly descended her chin into her red, wool coat as she cried until her silent tears echoed across the pond's ice in her heart. She looked up, stood upon her skates, and started to glide across the ice that seemed transparent as her skates glided her across the pond, making fresh "eight" patterns in the ice.
Suddenly, a warm whisper came past her ear and made her freeze in time. A tear dripped down her face as she blinked. The whisper came again, only louder this time in a distinct male's voice. The girl turned around and focused her view past the snow fallen trees. There stood a man. He started to walk through the snow towards her as she quickly skated to the edge of the pond to put on her boots. She never took her eyes off the man until she took a hold of her skates. She looked up and he was gone. The girl started to cry frozen tears as she ran through the falling snow leaving footprints of sadness. She ran through the trees without direction and finally saw the man standing on the edge of a country road by a mailbox.
The girl had never seen this mailbox, for it was deserted. As she took a step closer, the man turned and disappeared. She never was able to see his face. She approached the mailbox and reached for the door. A letter was shoved into the back corner addressed to her. As she opened the letter, she saw familiar hand writing upon the envelope. The letter read:
"My dear Abby,
You are my life. You are my love. You make the sun shine and rain from above. Your smile warms my heart as I gaze into your eyes. My heart skips a beat when I lean to kiss you as the snow falls across your pink cheeks. I will always love you and you love me. Our love will last for eternity because I know you are the one for me. Even though the car accident seperated our lives, we will always be together. Don't worry babe, I'm right here with you forever and always.
Love, Nick"

Abby's tears fell upon the letter as her mittens wrapped the letter across her chest. She knew, now, that Nick would always be there with her, especially the place where he proposed before the car accident. The pond was her favorite place, and so it would forever remain as Nick's rememberance. From there on, Abby knew that everything would be alright.
