You Thought


You thought you had something to prove, never knowing
you had more to lose. Never stopping to weigh the cost and now your path
is somewhat lost.
All the day you shuffle along forgetting the golden rule to
be strong. You gave up and closed your ears, now your days are filled with
tears.
If only your eyes could have seen, the darkened shadows
hidden between. The victory was yours and that's a fact, but time that's
lost just won't come back.

You thought you could make it as a stray. To you there was
no other way. But you were wrong and now you see........
