WHAT CHRISTMAS MEANS TO ME I have celebrated Christmas for seventy-three years, some were quite happy and some brought me tears. It wasn't until God stepped into my life that I found the true spirit of Christmas and spread it around. It isn't just the presents under the Christmas tree, there's something deeper and meaningful for me. A small country church where voices raise in song, to worship Jesus, and praise for Him never is wrong. Believe what you will, but I am finally at true peace, knowing that problems don't last and will soon cease when the lights on the Christmas tree twinkle and shine, I know God's in His Heaven, and Peace will be mine. Where ever you are and whatever you can do to make your Christmas happy, it's all up to you. I treasure the cards that I get from family and friends, and I miss seeing the children, but love never ends. You ask "what Christmas means to me" and I say that it's not just the presents or a fun-filled holiday. It's a time to give thanks for the blessings I have here, a time for memories, seventy-three years worth, this year! MERRY CHRISTMAS - Keep CHRIST in Christmas Don't X-mas it away - for He is the REASON for the season! Countrymom 12/08/09 |
