Do you hear the words I say?
Are you really listening?
Can your perceptions, be reflections,
of the things I am feeling?

Am I a man inside,
finding Oh so few.
Letters that I've written,
with no postage due?

Careful speech, of flowing words,
seasoned by the ages.
Thoughtful prayers, full of meaning.
wishes lost to dreams engaging.

Minding all my P's and Q's,
hesitant with inflection,
Daily writing, busy waiting,
for your final inspection.

Tied in bundles, neatly packed,
savoring all the treasures.
Found their rest in darkened corners,
the best of unsent letters.
