Descriptions of Happiness
Happiness

1 Consistency in a world of change.

2. A job well done

3. Self-disclosure

4. A newborn baby's innocent little face

5. Pets--lively, smiling marionettes when their owner arrives home

6. The howl of a wolf, the hoot of an owl, the sounds of crickets.

7. Creation. A walk in the woods, the fresh scent, the gentle breeze blowing through my hair, the silence that blankets the area. Even the smallest of echo can be heard, but soon the fog that settles in.

8. An idea, a thought, a painting, music, shared and expressed well.

10 Laughter and smiles of children and grown ups..

11 Memories. They are priceless, and can't be replaced.

12 Comfort--having faith that one day everything will work out.

13. Giving and receiving graciously.

14. The love a couple shares together because they trust and communicate and listen to each other..

15 An unexpected turn of events. The revelation that what you assumed, wasn't what you thought, and what you hadn't considered, is true.

16. The tender look that your loved one gives you; the kind that warms you, makes your knees wobble, your insides quake. An ache starts, then grows and flashes over you like sudden lightning or a golden ray of light, and you know that you are loved and you belong.

17. The proud feeling you get when you watch your significant other doing things around the house to make life better in some way, or when your significant other happily shares in some chore you'd rather not do alone.

18. Your loved one looks into your eyes, holds your hand, and makes love to you because he or she wants to reconnect/reunite/reaffirm your mutual love, and/or unwind.

The symptoms of happiness are various degrees of feeling that often starts in the chest. A warmth, glow, and heat flows over the individual, and eventually radiates in almost painful intensity to the point of a release of emotion as in weeping or crying out.
