These children of the desert are the best examples of thrift.


Thinking of thrift, the most fitting examples that comes to mind are the nomads of the desert. Daily battling the most hostile conditions on earth, their lives center on conservation. Compared to their austere existence, I am almost guilty of Hedonism.

No! I am not making a case for self-denial! But I do intend to imbibe the thrifty ways of the Bedouins into at least my storytelling. I only hope that the outcome is palatable.
