Ok ok i gave in on all the vamp hype.
Fierce is the passion
Of a sweet fever.
Violent sucking of blood
Alone in the shadows.

Sweet is the blood
Gushing like a river
Not a drop
Hitting the ground.

As he finishes the last one
She walks up behind him.
He only notices her
By the swish of her dress.

"Finished?" she asks
In a tone similar to that of a mother.
His only response
Is a sorrowful nod.

As they leave the brothel
He turns.
He wants to leave
And yet he can't.

As he stands there
For an endless eternity
Her touch
Brings him back.

And as he turns
And looks at her
The hunger returns
More powerful than last.

"Again?" she asks
In a tone dissapointed yet amused.
His only response
Is a mute nod.

As she leads him
To his next victim,
He wonders
Why he must kill.

And then in an instant
He remembers.
For if he doesn't kill,
He himself will perish.

He reminds himself
Of the curse sung
As he was turned
Into the monster he was.

"By day asleep,
By night awake,
Blood you shall drink
Until killed by stake

"Inards to ash
Skin turn black
If ever blood not drunk
Or sun does attack."

He turns toward her
To ask
Why he was
The monster he was.

But before he spoke
She turned.
And with a sweeping motion,
She beckoned at the ruins.

With his senses heightened
And himself aware,
Inside he noticed
Only one soul.

A man it was.
Young and yet dying.
But before he could leave,
She grabbed his arm.

"Tomorrow" she says.
And then up he looks.
As his eyes rise,
He notices the sky.

The moon gone,
The sun waking.
Home he hurries
To sleep.
