Love Is a Tricky Thing

Love is a tricky thing
Whether it’s a fling or true
Unpredictable like a bird with a broken wing
More dangerous than a flu.

The more you crave love
The more it sucks you in.
It may seem that you two are like a matching glove,
But really neither could win.

If you let love suck you down
And you don’t watch where you’re going
You will look like a foolish clown
Dancing blindly not knowing.

For love is a tricky thing
Dancing to and fro.
For no one can do everything
Not everything one can know.

Love has no direction
And can be very bad
And unless you find some sort of protection
You will surely be had.

Love is just like candy
It can be sweet or sour
Everything can be fine and dandy
Or things can change within the hour.

Love makes your heart race
And forget all your good sense.
But love can change from face-to-face
Though your mind and heart may feel dense.

Love is hard to keep at bay
And its hard to make it true.
But no matter what they could ever say
I’m still in love with you.
