Image prompt contest for First Peoples' Tribe |

Welcome to the first ever First Peoples' image prompt contest!!   Some of our earliest ancestors used pictographs to tell stories. Sometimes these were used to augment their oral storytelling. They have left many of these behind for us to decipher. Now it is your turn using this picture prompt, tell us a story. I wish to thank our very ingenious co-chief, Sticktalker  , for the conception of this contest! Thank you, Lyle!  Also, a huge shout out to mystic_writer for always being here to make any idea worth offering to our Tribe!  RULES  Entry must be newly written for this contest. Entry may be a poem (no longer than 40 lines) or a short story (no longer than 1,000 words). Please include line and word count at the end of your item. You may only enter one poem or one short story. Edits will be allowed from now up until the deadline, which is October 29th at midnight (WDC time). Any entry edited after the deadline will be automatically disqualified. All entries must be added by posting in the forum below by using the BITEM format. If you are unsure about how to post using this format, please email mystic_writer who will be glad to give you easy to understand instructions. Thank you so much for all who entered. All of the stories were fun and entertaining to read. Because they were all so unique in nature, I had to judge on every aspect of writing. First, I considered the emotions that were invoked in me with the read. After that, I focused on proper grammar and spelling and all other technicalities. I have to admit that all would have won first place had it not come down to technicalities. I hope everyone had as much fun writing as I did reading!!! ~~Sun Dancer |
