A short poem about lovers and winter nights.
hot and red glowing bright
heating your night
ashes building as wood burns down
crashing softly without a sound

glowering sparks ignite
floating high out of sight
flooded with warmth, you sigh
arms encircle your love as you lie

contented emotions overflow
as you know it to be so
crackling sounds go not to waste
as mood gives way in haste

a snuggle and a kiss
wanting never to miss
this moment in time
precious, sublime

wrapped in perfection
comforted serene, without objection
knowing finally at peace
immortal flame that will not cease
