My First Poem

Whether we're together or far apart,
You will always be in my heart.
Forever in my mind you'll stay,
I'd hate for you to go away.
Two weeks without you is gonna hurt,
This is why I gave you my t-shirt.
I look forward to seeing you when you return.
One thing from this trip you might learn;
Does absence make the heart grow fonder?
This question your mind will ponder.
I know this poem is kind of shit,
Funny enough I put effort into it.
While writing this poem, I did cry.
I bet you are probably wondering why.
I'll tell you in only a few short words,
I hope this is a way to make myself heard.
I love you Frog, way much more,
Than I've ever loved anyone else before.
You honestly mean the world to me,
And I'm always cuddling your teddy.
I wish I could be with you, it’ll drive me insane.
Miss me? Don’t forget I'm next to you on that plane.
Please don't cry, just hold me tight,
Cause I'm with you for the next 14 nights.
