Petals in the Rain


Like fallen petals in the rain
I watch as my loved ones fall
We do not know when we are born
if our lives will be short or long

We do not know who we will love
or how how our story will end
only God knows when our time is through
what our mission here is.

I miss my loved ones oh so much
some died way to soon
but I know it was the Father's will
and that I will see them again

But like the petals in the rain
my heart feels battered and bruised
I want the pain to go away
and let my life resume.

And like the Phoenix I will rise
and take charge of my life
I just have to take time to grieve
and miss my loved ones for awhile.
