This is about when summer arrives in the desert
Summer heat arrived

on hot desert winds

leaving the ground thirsting for rain



Brilliant azure skies

tinged with golden rays

soaring high an eagle races his shadow



White salt and sand mixed

in the hot desert winds

pushing billowy clouds across the sky



Heat waves shimmer across the ground

they ebb and flow in the breeze,

in an unending summer dance



At last darkness

bringing sweet coolness

tempting life to venture out
